We repair all makes and models of Television including CRT(Cathode Ray Tube), Plasma, LCD and Back Projection TV's.
Repairs are carried out at the customers' premises. However some types of TV, especially Plasma and LCD are much more difficult to repair in the house due to their construction. This has become very frustrating for the engineer in general, and because of that I have invested in special covers and stands for the transport and servicing of these types of TV.
Back projection types are repaired in the house without exception. If I cannot repair the TV on the first visit, then I usually remove the chassis for repair and return once repaired.
CRT(Cathode Ray Tube) types are the most common and have been around for many years. I still feel that although these are seen to be "old fasioned" now they still, in my humble opinion, give superior picture quality compared to LCD and Plasma types(Except HD transmissions) and are worth repairing. The most common question I get asked is "Can I still use the TV after Digital has switched over completely?". The answer to this question is that as long as you have a SCART connector of other type of direct video/audio input then you can still use the TV after Digital has taken over in 2012.
When calling me for a home visit, please let me know the Make and Model no. of the TV. This helps me in the diagnosis of the fault before I call and allows me to bring any necessary spares that are required.
I also carry out tune in's and set up's for your new purchases. If you have trouble in getting your equipment to work together or just need advice on how to use it all, give me a call. I can help!!
You can use the Blogback page for customer feedback and general information which will be updated constantly.
